Mason family scrapbooks, circa 1865-1937 bulk 1905-1912.

This collection contains the original scrapbooks and photocopies taken from the Mason family scrapbooks. Lois E. Mason's scrapbook covers the vaudeville troupe, Juvenile Bostonians. Lois and her sister, Nell, were members of the group for several years. The scrapbook from Lois and Nell's mother, Eudora Hall Mason, includes a small section of clippings about the Williams Juvenile Opera Company's season for 1905-1906. Mrs. Mason's scrapbook has more information about her family, the Halls. The original scrapbooks contain photographs as well as newspaper clippings. There are newspaper clippings from the area of Seattle with Mrs. Mason's notations about her impressions as related to her family. It includes information about her parents and grandparents and their early life in Seattle and the Washington Territory.

The predecessor to Juvenile Bostonians was the Williams Juvenile Opera Company. The Williams Juvenile Opera Company came into existence as a traveling troupe after the theatrical school won a competition. The Opera Company toured the season of 1905-1906 throughout Washington State. Mrs. E. Lang was the manager and Mrs. Mason was the musical director.
